Description :
The Montréal West Island IUHSSC is currently seeking a Medical Electrophysiology Technician to fill a part-time position at Lakeshore Hospital.As part of his/her duties, the person who uses electronic devices to detect movements or electrical currents emitted by organs or biological systems.Prepares the beneficiary, installs electrodes, ensures that devices are operating properly and that data is accurately recorded, either on paper or magnetic tape or on a CRT screen.Carries out her/his duties in various related fields of electro-physiology such as electroencephalography, electromyography, electronystamography, electroretinography, electrocardiography, electrosonography, visually invoked cortical potential, cortical audiometry and somatosensory evoked potential. May participate in clinical teaching and training.
This job title also includes persons certified as RET by the Canadian Board of Electroencephalograph Technologists.
**Work schedule : 10AM -6 PM, 1 weekend out of 2 **
Requirements :
Must have a diploma of college studies with a core concentration in medical electro-physiology from a school recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport;
Must be a member of the Order of Medical Imaging, Radiation Oncology and Medical Electrophysiology Technologists of Quebec;
Ability to communicate easily in French and English, both orally and in writing.
