Description :
The Montréal West Island IUHSSC is currently looking for a Personnel Officer to fill a temporary full-time position with strong possibility of rapid permanence within its External Staffing Service (Recruitment) located at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute in Verdun.

As a Personnel Officer at the External Staffing Service, you will act as a talent acquisition expert in health and social services and will be involved in all stages of the recruitment and hiring process. You will also be called upon to represent the institution at external recruitment events (job fairs).

In this context, we are looking for a dynamic person, with strong communication skills, able to establish constructive relationships and to identify potential and talent.

As part of your duties, you will be asked to:

• Communicate with the various clinical and administrative managers of the institution to clearly identify their needs in terms of recruitment of staff;
• Review or write attractive job offers for external posting, while considering labor market imperatives and competition;
• Analyze applications and participate in phone pre-selection interviews;
• Select candidates to propose to managers by analysing their abilities while considering the requirements of the position;
• Prepare, along with a team of technicians and administrative officers, the interview days;
• Occasionally participate in the preparation interview grids for specific positions;
• Conduct selection interviews with the hiring manager;
• Participate, with a team of technicians and administrative staff, in coordinating the entry of new employees;
• Represent the External Staffing Service during orientation days for new employees;
• Represent the institution at job fairs;
• Develop and maintain links with institutional and community partners to promote the organization and facilitate dissemination of our job offers;
• Actively participate in the search for new pools of potential candidates through innovative means and creative methods;
• Lead specific projects related to external recruitment.
Requirements :
• Hold a Bachelor degree in Administrative Science or other appropriate academic discipline;
• Have at least 1 year of experience in similar functions;
• Have a car at your disposal and a valid driver's licence.
