Description :
The CIUSSS West Island is currently seeking a psychologist or psychologist to fill a full-time position at the Douglas Institute at the Day Hospital (TGC) ) for children.

The Lyall Behavior Serious Disorders Day Hospital Program is for children ages 6 to 12 who have serious behavioral problems with or without attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity (ADHD). This program is offered to children who have major academic and social difficulties, and who do not respond to treatment offered by the mental health services in the first line or external child psychiatry (2nd line).

The care is designed and delivered according to the comprehensive care system to provide a more personalized and sustained approach to the child and his family.

The services are offered by an interdisciplinary team composed of various health professionals: child psychiatrist, social worker, nurse clinician, psychologists, psychoeducators and specialized educators. This team is supported by a multidisciplinary team (occupational therapist, speech therapist, nutritionist, music therapist, arts therapist, etc.).

The program's mandate is to provide individualized treatment to children aged 6 to 12 who have complex operating difficulties. the mandate of the program includes:
• Identify and describe the problem of the child and his family.
• Establish the differential diagnosis including the presence of comorbidity.
• Offer an individualized treatment.
• Make recommendations for future services and school guidance
Requirements :
- Must have a graduate degree in psychology or a PhD in psychology;
- Must be a member of the Ordre professionnel des psychologues du Québec;
* To use this reserved title, the person must be a member of the Ordre professionnel des psychologues du Québec. At the request of the employer, the person concerned provides proof of his belonging to that Order.
- Experiences in mental health;
- Experience with a clientele where we suspect an autism spectrum disorder;
- Experience with young people
- ADOS training;
- Bilingualism (French and English);
- Easy to work in interdisciplinary team.
