Description :
The West Island of Montreal IHSSUC is looking for Health and Social Services Aide to serve Lasalle territory.
A Health and Social Services Aide is a person who travels to living environments (home, residence, group home or other similar facility) and who is responsible for a range of tasks aimed at accompanying and supporting the beneficiary and her/his family or at compensating for her/his disabilities in performing daily living activities or domestic tasks. Must also work at fostering the beneficiary’s integration and socialization in individual and community activities.
In the performance of her/his duties, sees to beneficiaries’ hygiene, well-being and comfort and meets their general needs. May be required to install certain devices or to provide more specific forms of care for which she/he has been trained. May also be required to prepare meals or perform domestic tasks.
Reports her/his observations regarding the needs of the beneficiary and family to the persons in charge and team members. In collaboration with other workers, helps identify the needs of the beneficiary, develop a service or intervention plan and implement such plan.
Requirements :
Must have:
- DVS in Home Care Assistance or DVS in Institutional and Home Care Assistance
- Functional French and English.
- Valid Driver's licence.
- Car required.
*** Be available to work day and evening shifts, including every other weekend ***
* A premium of 4% or 8% applies to all employees of the health network.
* Premium bonuses apply for evening and weekend shifts.
