Description :
The Montréal West Island Integrated IUHSSC is currently looking for a social worker to fill a part-time replacement (3 days / week) as part of the Lyall Behavior Serious Disorders Day Hospital Program.

As part of his duties, the Social Worker does guidance, counselling, practical application, analysis and assessment work.

The Lyall Behavior Serious Disorders Day Hospital Program is for children ages 6 to 12 who have serious behavioral problems with or without attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity (ADHD). This program is offered to children who have major academic and social difficulties, and who do not respond to treatment offered by the mental health services in the first line or external child psychiatry (2nd line). The care is designed and delivered according to the comprehensive care system to provide a more personalized and sustained approach to the child and his family. The services are offered by an interdisciplinary team composed of various health professionals: child psychiatrist, social worker, nurse clinician, psychologists, psychoeducators and specialized educators. This team is supported by a multidisciplinary team (occupational therapist, speech therapist, nutritionist, music therapist, arts therapist, etc.).

The program's mandate is to provide individualized treatment to children aged 6 to 12 who have complex operating difficulties. the mandate of the program includes:
- Identify and describe the problem of the child and his family;
- Establish the differential diagnosis including the presence of comorbidity;
- Offer an individualized treatment;
- Make recommendations for future services and school guidance.
Requirements :
- Must have an undergraduate degree in social work;
- Must be a member in good standing of the OTSTCFQ;
- Must be bilingual;
- Must have experience in family therapy;
- Must have experience with young people with mental health issues.
